The Position

The import/export administrator II reports directly to the director of operations and is responsible for all domestic and international logistics shipments of SeekOps equipment in support of global operations. The job role would also entail organizing and maintaining all operations equipment at our HQ in Austin, TX.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for coordinating the movement of freight via all modes of transportation
  • Source properly vetted and permitted carriers to haul shipment pursuant to requirements
  • Work with other team members and employees to make sure all requirements are understood prior to shipment being arranged
  • Interact with Operations, Hardware, and Software teams to optimize systems and procedures for all supply and shipping processes
  • Develop and implement logistics processes and standard operating procedures (SOP)
  • Organize and manage inventory, storage, transportation, and keeping drone and related equipment inventory maintenance up to date, with minor preventative maintenance of equipment being required
  • Ensure legal compliance and providing import/export administration and control within government rules and regulations, including ground, air, and ocean
  • Interface with internal and external customers, foreign order administration, freight forwarders, customs officers, and other functional areas to ensure coordination and logistics of shipment

Skills & Qualifications


  • Associate degree in business administration, logistics or related field or equivalent experience, bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistics or related field preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in international / domestic logistics and import / export compliance.
  • Understanding of US import / export compliance with knowledge to learn and understand multiple countries import / export compliance
  • Knowledge of ECCN, HS, HTS, and Tariff codes and how to gather the information to ensure compliance
  • Flexible in work schedule
  • Knowledge of all documentation surrounding import / export, including but not limited to:
    • Bill of Lading
    • Commercial Invoice
    • Certificate of Origin
    • Purchase Order
    • Packing List
    • Air, Ground, or Ocean Waybill
    • Export Licenses
    • Letter of Instruction
  • Proficient in use of Office suite and logistics software.
  • IATA, DOT dangerous goods certification, preferred
  • Understanding of UPS WorldShip or similar shipping software, nice to have
  • Understanding ATA Carnet and Temporary Import Bonds, preferred

Physical Requirements:

    • Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move 25 – 50 pounds regularly
    • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
    • Must be able to walk and navigate stairs multiple times a day
