About SeekOps

The company behind the sensor

Founded in Austin, Texas in 2017, SeekOps is trusted by operators in traditional and renewable energy for accurate sensor technology and actionable reporting.

Our origin

From the Curiosity rover to the oil field

Our TDLAS sensing technology was first developed at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory to search for methane on Mars. SeekOps hardened it for terrestrial energy operations — creating the SeekIR® sensor suite that today measures methane, carbon dioxide, and 3D temperature profiles across six continents — everywhere except Antarctica.

SeekOps was founded in 2017 and is headquartered in Austin, Texas. The company is led by co-founder and CEO Brendan Smith.
